Lupetta fusilli bucati are made from high quality, 100% Italian, Kronos® wheat semolina which gives a bright yellow colour and a higher protein level than standard durum wheat pasta.
When cooking, the pasta releases less starch and retains its al dente texture better for the perfect end dish. These high protein fusilli bucati are also perfect for double cooking i.e. if you need to part cook, set aside and then finish cooking briefly later.
Lupetta fusilli bucati are formed using a bronze die, which gives the finished product a roughened, powdery surface texture which your chosen sauces will stick to better.
Fusilli bucati are elegant corkscrew pasta shapes with holes in them, which are ideal for pasta salads as well as being perfect with a fresh Pesto alla Genovese or roasted red pepper sauces.
